Jamie White is a trusted advisor to the leaders of the world’s most ambitious law firms. At Prosperant, the consultancy he co-founded in 2020, he concentrates on helping them grow: launching new law firms, raising capital, refinancing and restructuring, pursuing global mergers and acquisitions, and expanding into new territories.

What sets Jamie apart is that he came to law from the outside. He began his career in management consulting, the discipline that still underpins his work today, before moving into publishing and then advertising, where he rose to become managing director of the London agency Trilateral Group. He went on to found his own communications group, PW Communications, which he led as managing director from 1999 to 2005, and later served as a founder of the award-winning communications group Blackbridge. In 2015, he founded and still owns Overture London, which has grown into one of the world’s leading branding agencies for the legal industry, shaping the strategies of more than 100 law firms. It was there that he learned how to plan, structure, launch and grow new firms, of which he has now helped found over forty.

That work drew him inside the profession itself. He has held the role of head of strategy at seven of the top 100 law firms, where board-level roles gave him firsthand insight into how a global law firm is led, structured, and grown. Mergers and acquisitions are a particular specialism. Jamie has a deep command of how the regulatory environment, structuring, deal protocols and transaction management combine to make a merger succeed, and he has advised on a number of the legal market’s most significant combinations. He understands not only how to complete a deal, but how to make two firms work as one in the market once it is done.

Alongside his day-to-day role at Prosperant, Jamie has worked with the leading geopolitical analyst Tina Fordham at Fordham Global Foresight, advising C-suite and legal leaders on geopolitical risk. He also coaches a number of senior figures in law on management development, leadership and strategic thinking. Across all his roles, he combines the rigour of a management consultant with a rare understanding of the legal world from the inside out.
